Tantra Bensko: Lucid Fiction

New genre of fiction: new genre of reality

Interviews

Physiognomy in Letters asked to interview me, and they made a delightful cartoon out of it. It's lovely!

I was interviewed by Ron Bales, of the band Lucid Fiction, which will be in Bewildering Stories.

An interview by a man named Alexander will be published later, and I'll fill you in.

The interview in Lit Chaos is really fun.

Interview in San Francisco Voice, mostly about my art, which I've been interviewed on often, but what the heck, I'll stick this in here anyway.

WhoHub wrote wanting me to do their interview, which I will.

I also did the interview on the Lit Chao Wiki, so check it out if you like.

Interview as featured writer in international magazine.

Gary Gray interviewed me for the current issue of Global Inner Visions, where I am featured writer.  " Her visual art has been described as eclectic and dangerous.  Her style is raw and unabashed. She will pierce your eyes with her hauntingly stark images. She will weave her words into your psyche." My interview

Has gone down, but I'm going to post the interview itself soon.

About the nature of the spirit.

Clare Martin is a wonderful interviewer, taking us in expanded, enlightened directions.

Clare Martin interviews me as featured writer in Southern Hum

Has gone down, but I'll be posting it soon.

Carol Tipping's Interview of me at Pixiport

But there are no gaps really, as we are not local, not tied down to points in time and space. When a couple practice Tantra together, they love not only as two selves, but as united flows of life force, seeing the world from a larger perspective, more powerful and blissful. In Tantra, love and sexuality can be an impetus to move that life force through our bodies, and we feel our bodies as conduits of the for the force, then we feel we are the force itself. Sexuality is therefore a kind of magic that is a portal to other dimensions of knowlege and ability, a way to free us from those forces that seek to hold us down in the sense of self that is created by our commercial society. We no longer are dependent, but free creatures. Tantra has a lot of fire to it, lots of electricity, acceptance of sexuality and the body, verve and color and celebration and explosive joy and experimentation and power that comes from discipline. I think these things come through in my art. Not only the intensity, but also the subtleties of dreamlike insights that arise out of it. My art should swim in a tangible atmosphere of love force, excitement and exhileration, which also includes the ability to look at and move through the sadness inherent in our lives.

Lorena LaGrassa's interview of me in Logascene

I am infinite, and timeless, but I am also an artist of the times. And the times, they are turbulent and short. I feel passionately about freedom from restriction, constriction, in our souls. I feel these times require finding some way to keep our souls ours, keep them whole, let them not be eaten. I have been asked by a magazine exposing mind control to do their visuals (Mk-Zine). Keep your soul large. I am in the position of having to decide how art is helpful in a world that is in danger of losing its mind. And it is a difficult question. I have to just follow my heart.

Barbara Tamieri, in Italy, interviews me for BTDesign:    http://www.barbaratampieri.com/permanent61.html
I was the artist of the month on her site, quite an honor. Since then, I have been a judge for both photography and painting for BTDesign for the last two years.    www.barbaratampieri.com/team1.html

Art Is my existence. In many permutations of poetry, music, my persona, my mind, my dream. I love to collaborate in the world we can go inside through art. Turn it inside out.

"If you were to list the most important values in your life at present, which would be at first place? Are they the same as when you were younger?"

A kind of brightness that's hard to explain. I court that sense of my spirit's largeness and wattage. Beauty. All those values are the same as when I was young. I also have learned how wary we have to be of deception, as our whole reality has been controlled by some who also are powerful. They want to keep our consciousness down. We can look at them as one force in the combination of forces that push and pull and create our world. However, it is also a force that is part of the combination of forces that are destroying our world. On some levels, this can seem like just one of many many realities and perceptions going on at this moment, and changing, being replaced...

I value the brightness of my spirit, and of those around me. I don't do things that tarnish that brightness if there is any way around it. I have used that brightness many times to heal people, and to raise their consciousness and their kundalini. I want to keep that brightness intact without indulging in any denial of reality. And while keeping my compassion. I value playfulness and brilliance of concept. I value redeeming the creation of humans through art.

The Times Journal of Photography's "World Class Photographer"

I had a six page interview by Amrita Ganguly in this slick, popular magazine out of India. "What is Tantra, the person, like?" I've lived in many different situations. In caves, on top of mountains in tents, on the ground in sleeping bags in rainforests, on the coast in a packing crate. I also lived in big cities, i the ghettos usually, been part of the "hood," a vigil in D.C. for four months. I have lived close to the bone, fully engaged with life.

I've always been an activist. I have been a spiritual teacher, including teaching Tantra Yoga for several years. I live intensely, and try to come from the largest part of my soul that I can reach. I like to feel I am free to be all the I can, and when something holds that back, I don't like it.

Are you like me, cautious about your health, but not generally ready to run to the doctor's office. You can get answers to specific questions through the excellent site below.
